Martin Eveleigh
Rolls-Royce Defence Aerospace
Martin Eveleigh has almost 30 years' experience working for Rolls-Royce in the Defence Aerospace Industry.
During this time he has worked in Research & Development Test, Site Engineering, Electrical Design and ,from 1993, in Programme Management.
In 1999, owing to the requirements of US Government law, Rolls-Royce was tasked with obtaining a Department of Defense (DoD) Earned Value Management (EVM) System Accreditation allowing partnerships with both General Electric and Pratt & Whitney on respective Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Programmes. To fulfill this requirement, Martin was charged with writing the Rolls-Royce EVM System Description and led a team through numerous and formal DoD/MoD/Industry reviews over an 18 month period, eventually leading to the first ever DoD overseas Earned Value Accreditation.
In November 2001, Martin presented 'the Rolls Royce EVMS and its successful accreditation' at the Project Management Institute (PMI) conference in Washington DC.
Between 2000 and 2005 Martin was assigned to Rolls-Royce North America where he worked as the Rolls-Royce Bristol & Indianapolis Programme Integration Manager.
During this period Martin was based inside the General Electric Aircraft Engines plant in Cincinnati Ohio, working on the F136 Joint Strike Fighter programme. He was also the Rolls-Royce EVMS focal point for GE and the USG team.
In 2005 Martin returned to Rolls-Royce Bristol where he currently leads the Helicopters & Small Gas Turbines Programme team.
Since 2000 Martin has played an integral part in training EVMS to a number of projects within Rolls-Royce Bristol. Recently he has begun dealing with Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace in a similar manner.
