Establishing the remit of a Project Management Office (PMO), and setting it up in the best way to benefit from the results, is a demanding brief. This workshop draws on the successes and the learning gained from those that have embarked on 'the PMO experience'.

Monique Aubry Ph.D., professor at the Business Science School of University of Quebec, will present the results of her multi-phases research programme to develop a better understanding of PMOs. Alastair Strang, Director of EMEA HP Services EPMO, will explore the key components of building an Enterprise PMO within a global business. Alistair Godbold, Senior Programme Manager with NATS, will explain about how NATS' project management teams help to ensure the safe passage of over 2 million aircraft through the UK’s busy skies every year.

This workshop faces the issues associated with PMOs head on and searches for some answers.

We are very pleased to welcome Colm O'Kelly from The National Trust, as our pre-dinner speaker. Colm will share some anecdotes from his experiences project managing both the restoration of Blaise Castle and Tyntesfield Estate.
