FIONA THORBURN
Programme Director (Group Change Management), Royal Bank of Scotland

Prior to joining RBS in 1999 Fiona worked in the book publishing and utility industries. Since joining RBS Fiona has held a variety of roles including leading the online banking team and delivering a number of major change programmes.

She is passionate about developing change capability and, as Executive Sponsor, is responsible for the successful design and implementation of the RBS Group Change Framework and the rollout and adoption of Planview as a project management system. The Framework is currently benchmarked as top quartile and continues to be rolled out across the RBS Group globally. Fiona’s current role as Programme Director in Group Change Management includes leading on the adoption of best practice change across the RBS group, building change capability and delivering major change programmes.

Fiona has an MBA from Strathclyde Business School. She has a daughter, two dogs and enjoys gardening, golf, running and most outdoor activity.
