SERGE LEICHTER
Head of Project Performance Management,
Airbus A350 Program

Serge Leichter has over 20 years’ experience in senior project and program management positions, and has been with the Airbus organization since 1989.

Starting his career with a PhD in Engineering, Serge has broad experience of all areas involved in managing engineering design, latterly specialising in project and program management. He headed up the global program management for the A380 aircraft, with responsibility for the global program management system and establishing the PMO network to support this activity.

He currently manages a trans-national team of more than 250 people focused on the development of the new long range A350 aircraft, owning all processes covering scheduling, risk management, monitoring and control and being jointly responsible for resource management and earned value management, with the finance function.

Serge holds responsibility for the development of the project management culture within Airbus.
